Kamloops ticket worth $35 million after last night's big draw

Two new millionaires are in the Peace region.

The big jackpot was finally won last night and someone in Kamloops is $35 million richer.

Sorry, Prince George. You're not a big winner but someone in Kamloops is.

After going unclaimed for weeks, the $70 million Lotto Max jackpot has finally been won. A ticket bought in Kamloops for last night's draw is worth $35 million, splitting the big jackpot with someone in Ontario.

Meanwhile, the Peace region has two new millionaires this morning.

A ticket purchased in what the B.C. Lottery Corporation identifies as Peace River South won one of the Maxmillions bonus draws worth $1 million. Another ticket bought in Peace River North also won one of the 46 Maxmillions prizes claimed in Tuesday's draw.

The area winners from  and have yet to step forward. A ticket bought in Burns Lake won $1 million and a ticket bought in Prince George won $500,000 on Saturday while someone in the Nechako Lakes region won $1 million last week.
