The Howe Sound Cannons extended their winning streak to seven games by beating the Moose 6-1 in North Vancouver on Saturday (June 16).
Since losing the second game of the North Shore Men's Baseball Association's (NSMBA) regular season, the Cannons have been on a tear and now sit in first place in the league with a record eight wins and one loss.
"Team captain Jeremy Galley is elated with the team so far holding first place with an 8-1 start to the season," said Cannons first baseman Tyler Magee. "While Manager Jones is in Cloud Nine as he stepped up and leads the team in batting so far."
The Cannons return to Laroy Watt field on Saturday (June 23) for a doubleheader against the North Vancouver Brewers. Game 1 is set for noon, with Game 2 scheduled to kick off at 3 p.m.
