Squamish's Brad Hunter managed to outscore both Henrik Sedin and Alexander Ovechkin on the ice at Rogers Arena on Oct. 28
Hunter and his teammates on the ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵappEagles H3.1 hockey team were the game's first period intermission entertainment and Hunter was the lone goal scorer in the game.
The team, sporting the brand new ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵappMinor Hockey Association (SMHA) jerseys, also got the chance to meet Vancouver Canucks mascot Fin. The event was sponsored by Tim Hortons, which helped provide the tickets and transportation to Vancouver.
I wanted to personally say thank you to all the parents for an extremely successful event, stated Duane Fluet, the team's head coach. It was never a question that this experience would bring absolute joy to our kids but seeing our parents together, socializing, laughing, joking, sharing stories, and most of all seeing how proud you were as parents made it exactly what it was meant to be.
Fluet also thanked parent Allys Di Marzo for helping to organize the event.
