Giants returning to Squamish

BCMML squad set to play second game at Brennan Park

The Vancouver NW Giants have only lost five times in regular season British Columbia Major Midget League (BCMML), but unfortunately for them, one of those losses was in ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵappon Nov. 1.

The Giants get an opportunity to avenge that loss on Saturday (Dec. 13) when they return to Brennan Park Arena to host the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds.

Vancouver sits in second place in the BCMML with a record of 15 wins and five losses. They’ve also allowed only 44 goals in 20 games, the second fewest in the league. The Thunderbirds are in eighth place and sport a record of six wins, 11 losses and three ties. The two teams met twice in October with the Giants winning both games.

The Giants kicked off its two game experience in ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵappwith a 3-2 loss to the Vancouver NE Chiefs back on Nov. 1. The pair of games is an extension of the relationship between the ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵappMinor Hockey Association (SMHA) and the Giants that has been established from the BCMML Exhibition Weekend, which has occurred the last three years in Squamish.

It all goes down at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday at Brennan Park Arena. For more information on the SMHA, visit www.squamishminorhockey.com
