Smith defeats Cremator at Totem Hall

Ƶappbased wrestler defeats monster but becomes one himself in the process

As the character Harvey Dent stated in the 2008 hit film The Dark Knight – you either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

And that was the situation that Squamish’s Cody “TKO” Smith found himself in at the All Star Wrestling (ASW) at Totem Hall on Friday (April 11).

After vanquishing The Cremator in the main event, Smith was joined by his friend and former tag team partner Mr. India to celebrate the win. But moments later Smith attacked Mr. India and badmouthed the 120 fans who were cheering him on.

“Ƶapp– you can kiss my ass,” Smith said to a stunned group of fans of all ages.

After he recovered, Mr. India challenged Smith to a future match and seemed to have the support of the fans in which he makes his “summer residence.”

Smith’s actions overshadowed what was a match against Cremator that saw him overcome outside interference from his allies Riea Von Slasher and Rigor Von Slasher. Smith scored with his TKO finishing move at 9:43 to defeat Cremator by pin fall.

The show also featured the crowning of the brand new ASW Ladies champion as Bambi Hall survived both Riea Von Slasher and KC Spinelli to capture the title. The match was contested under triple threat rules and saw Spinelli and Hall pin Slasher simultaneously at 6:23 to eliminate her. They then paired off with Hall defeating Spinelli 85 seconds later to win the title.

Tag team action saw fan favourites Kenny Lush and The King of the Yukon come up short to the team of The Regime. The defending tag team champions retained their titles when “Nasty” Nate Daniels pinned Lush at 11:21.

In other action, Mr. India defeated Mantasia via pin fall at 6:54, Toga Boy pinned Azeem The Dream at 11:34, Travis Sionys beat The Great Kasaki at 11:15 and Matt Xstatic grabbed a pin fall win over Alex Prestige.

The next big show for ASW is on April 26 in Cloverdale and Smith will take on Xstatic. The main event of that show features former WWE and ECW star Tommy Dreamer teaming with Moondog Manson to battle the duo of Kyle Sebastian and Colin Cutler.
