While Loggers Sports athletes from all across the globe are doing their thing at the Loggers Sports Grounds, about a block away some of the best young swimmers in the province will compete at Brennan Park pool.
The ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵappPirates Swim Club will host the Vancouver and District Regional Championships on Aug. 3 and 4, as part of the B.C. Summer Swim Association's schedule.
Close to 500 swimmers are expected for the event, with the top three in each division final and those finishing with provincial qualifying times moving on to the Provincials Aug. 16 to 18 in Coquitlam.
Swimmers hit the pool at 8:30 a.m. on both days, with action continuing until approximately 2:30 p.m. ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵappresidents are encouraged to come check out to the free event and cheer on the many young local swimmers competing.
