Ƶappin first place in VMSL’s Division 3C

The undefeated streak remains alive for ƵappUnited FC.

Ƶappcontinued its unbeaten run in the Vancouver Metro Soccer League (VMSL) with an 8-0 win over Arya FC on Saturday, Nov. 8.

Squamish’s Vinny Selina opened the scoring getting a head on a corner kick, then the veteran duo of  Rich “Golden Boot” Collins and Jeremy “Big Cat” Galley took over.

Galley potted four goals and Collins added a hat trick in the win.

Sam “Afro” Dunkley picked up yet another shutout.

Ƶappis still in first place in the VMSL’s Division 3C with the win and now possesses a record of nine wins, zero losses and one tie.

Next up for Ƶappis a road game against third place West Coast Celts in North Vancouver on Saturday (Nov. 15). The team’s next home game is on Nov. 22, when PCOV Europa comes to town.

Meanwhile in the Howe Sound Men’s Soccer League (HSMSL), Whistler remains on top of the league after posting a 6-0 win over Sikh Temple on Nov. 6 and playing the Ellis Moving Eagles to a 1-1 draw on Sunday, Nov. 9.

John Magill scored Whistler’s lone goal on Sunday, with Peter Cameron replying for the Eagles.

The late game on Sunday featured Galileo and the ƵappGunners playing to a 2-2 draw. Kevin Leaker and Matt Frengs tallied for Galileo, with James Scudder and Joel Tait scoring for the Gunners.

HSMSL action continues on Sunday (Nov. 16), with the Eagles playing the Gunners and Galileo battling Sikh Temple.
