Most recently, he was known as the ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵappSanta and a stalwart volunteer at The Hotspot in Squamish. 

He worked as a pharmacist and business owner in Kamloops, Lillooet, and Squamish, where he operated Stathers Drugs, Stathers Home and Building Centre, and Lillooet IDA Pharmacy until his retirement at age 79.
