The ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵappAxemen hosted UBC for their last home match of the fall season in B.C. Rugby Men’s Division 3 action.
They scored early and often, winning the match 63-8 and barely allowing the visitors any offensive zone field position through much of the first half. UBC managed their only try late in the opening frame.Â
Jackson Springer was a beast on both sides of the ball and led the offence with four tries. Philip Maas (2), Jessie Mertin, Jackson McAvoy and Bobby Currie all added tries, while Ben Wilkinson converted for extra points. The team singled out Currie for his exceptional play throughout the afternoon.
The Axemen will now go on the road for the final four games of the fall season.
