Disc golf course lands in Squamish

Course at Garibaldi Springs set to open in April

The sport of disc golf finally has a home in ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵappstarting this April.

Disc golf is being added to the Garibaldi Springs Golf Course and it will feature 18 holes using the same route as its regular golf and foot golf courses.

Back in December, the course was used by British Columbia Disc Sports as one of the stops on its winter tour and was met with rave reviews from users.

Organizers state that discs will be available for purchase or rental on site. They promise to schedule weekly men’s and women’s nights for all to enjoy and noted that several tournaments and events could be coming to the course.

Day passes are available for $10 or seasons passes can be purchased for $149.99. Children 12 and under can play the course for free.

Final details still need to be ironed out but its expect that the course will open to disc golfers in April. For more information on the course, visit www.facebook.com/GaribaldiSpringsGolfCourse.
