The lone ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµappcompetitor at the Whistler Kids of Steel triathlon left an impression.
Squamish’s Sofie Hill swam, cycled and ran to a first place finish in the female 10 to 11 division at the race in Whistler on May 23. Hill completed the 100-metre swim, two-kilometre bike and one-km run in 15:06 to capture the top prize.
Hill beat out Whistler’s Corinne Haasen by seven seconds to earn the title. She was also ranked fifth overall including all the boys in the division. Hill also placed fourth in her division at the ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµappYouth Triathlon on May 10.
