After a 37-6 loss on May 16, the Howe Sound Hitmen bounced back in a big way on Saturday, May 23.
The Bantam football club beat the Royal Chargers 33-26, exploding for the team’s biggest offensive outburst this season in North Vancouver Spring Flag Football League action.Â
Howe Sound got touchdowns from Luke Pedersen, Reneal Belandres (two), Jhett Verner and Keegan Taylor. Pedersen and Kolby Wilton each scored conversions in the win.
The Hitmen improve to two wins and two losses on the season and now battle the 49ers on May 30.Â
In NVSFFL Peewee division action, the ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµappPackers posted a 14-7 win over the Bengals on Saturday. The Packers are a perfect four wins and zero losses in league play. Next up for the team is the Steelers on May 30.
Squamish’s other team in the NVSFFL is in the Atom division and is also called the Packers. They sit in second place with a record of two wins and one loss. The Atom Packers next take on the Seahawks on May 30.
