Where have all the women gone?

With just one week to go before the nomination deadline closes for November's municipal election, I'm slightly concerned. Not because I have anything against anyone who has who stepped forward to run.

EDITOR, A couple of days ago a new playground was installed in the Eagle Run Park, so my wife and I took our four-year-old grandson over for a play. The set-up is great and he had a great time.

I remember it wasn't easy being a teenager. It's an awkward and weird time when hormones spring all sorts of fun surprises on you, like an acne breakout on school picture day, or sounding like a squeaky toy for a few weeks while your voice changes.

EDITOR, Some of us on Kintyre Drive, near Jura Cresent, woke up on Friday to see a bear trap set up on the street. In fact, right beside the driveway of one neighbour, and beside the yard fence of another with two young children.
